Essentials of a Boho Home | Wall Art Decor Ideas

Home   Decor   Essentials of a Boho Home | Wall Art Decor Ideas

Of all the interior design styles, Boho is the most welcoming, lived-in, and relaxed. If you are wondering how to achieve and incorporate this style in your space, you are in the right place. This article breaks down the basics of a bohemian-inspired theme. Also check our Wall Art for Bedroom

Bright, vivid, and warm colors, patterns, and textures abound in bohemian-style homes. The overall impact of this mix is an eclectic aesthetic that is really inviting. To properly execute this look in your home, you'll need the majority, if not all, of the following:

1. Vibrant colors and Bold Patterns:

Colors like vibrant yellow, pink, brown, green, and warm whites are essential in a bohemian home. These hues can be found in a variety of places, including wall paint colors, vibrant artwork, and multi-colored fabric designs. Tribal prints and bold patterns in brocade, damask, ditsy, and paisleys blend perfectly to put together a boho-inspired home.

2. Texture:

A variety of smooth and textured materials enhance a space's coziness and depth. In a bohemian home, anything that is pleasant to the touch is welcome. Have you checked on How to hang canvas art?

Fabrics, wooden, and stone items have both visual and physical textures that provide a sense of coziness. Use woven, cane, rattan, and rope items in light brown and other natural colors to contribute to a textured interior.

3. Light-colored wood:

Dark wood makes a room feel frigid, which is the opposite of what the bohemian style should be about. Instead, boho favors vividly colored and light-hued woods such as maple, white, and red oak. This gives a room a brighter feel. We at TapArt have awesome art print & canvas for sale.

4. Antiques and vintage pieces:

Boho is more into maximalism than most. This means you can fill your home with any items that you love, including antiques and preloved items. Vintage pieces tell a story and add charm. Pieces from a different era are unique compared to contemporary style decor and add value to a space.

5. Layering:

Layering aids in the creation of a welcoming and charming environment. Layering can be accomplished with blankets, rugs, toss pillows and books on a shelf. Even having a collage of different-sized framed artwork for your living room is also layering. Small rugs can be put on larger rags or an area rug can be thrown on carpets. When it comes to bohemian style, there is no such thing as too much. On your couch, you can have a lot of square and lumber-shaped throw pillows. Stacking books of various sizes on a shelf can also help to layer a space. If looking for large canvas art for living room here

6. Go low with furniture:

The lower the furniture, the cozier it feels. Furniture like the bed and sofa should be closer to the floor but still easy to get up from. Low-level seating includes floor pillows, ottomans, puffs, and benches and can be used to complement sofas. Use these in place of armchairs to enhance a relaxed feel. Not to say that they should replace armchairs.

7. Different sources of light:

It is not enough to have a central source of lighting on the ceiling. For a bohemian home, task, ambient, and accent lighting should all be provided. Ceiling lights can be supplemented with hanging pendant lights, floor and table lamps, lanterns, string lights, and candles. They are not only decorative, but they also brighten up a room by illuminating other accessories.

8 .Tropical plants:

Finally, if there are no indoor plants, it is not truly bohemian. Huge indoor plants, particularly tropical plants such as monsteras, large cacti, philodendrons, and palms, enliven a bohemian aesthetic even further and give it a jungle-like vibe.

Although not an interior style on its own, boho can smoothly be merged with other styles. Simply select bohemian necessities that go with your color scheme, and you're set. Check also Abstract Canvas Art Prints
