You have a gorgeous canvas print and you are eager to hang it on your wall but you don’t want to use nails or screws to hang a beautiful canvas print? There is an easy way to hang a canvas without damaging walls. Follow our step-by-step guide to hang a canvas painting without damaging the walls.
STEP 1: MARK THE WALL
Hanging a canvas without damaging walls is the same process as hanging a picture with no nails. Use a pencil and a spirit level to mark the location where the canvas' center should be.
STEP 2: ATTACH PICTURE HANDLING STRIPS TO A WALL AND THE CANVAS
Next, grab a set of picture hanging strips. To ensure that they are strong enough to support the canvas' weight, check the maximum weight they can hold. This information should be on the pack of strips. Place one end of a picture hanging strip in every corner of the canvas, with the arrows facing up. Attach the other half of the strip in each corner with the arrows facing upwards. Then, remove the protective film. Then lift the canvas off the wall by pressing and holding.
STEP 3: WAIT 30 SECONDS
At this stage, the adhesive must be allowed to set. Wait for seconds. Temporarily take the canvas off the wall.
STEP 4: RUB AND PRESS the Picture Hanging Strips
To ensure that the strips of picture hanging are securely attached to the wall, rub the strips for 30 seconds.
STEP 5: REATTACH YOUR CANVAS
The last step, hang the canvas back on your wall. Press hard against the area where the strips are attached.
Picture hanging strips are removable, so if you're not satisfied with your canvas art, you can easily remove them from the wall.
You have a beautiful print or collection of prints and you want them to be upon your wall. How do you do it? There are many ways to hang art on walls. In this post, I'd like to show you some of the possibilities. How do you hang a printed piece? The simple answer is: Hang it wherever you want! There are many creative options, no rules.
FRAME or NO FRAME
We will be discussing different frames for art prints, as well as the best materials and colors. Although you don't need to frame your art, some people prefer to do so. It protects your print from damage and prevents it from bending. Frames can be used to complement or add to the artwork. There are many things to love about an unframed print.
SINGLE or COLLAGE?
Do you plan to hang the pieces together or just one? Some art is best left alone, while others might be better if grouped. To create a collage, you could put the prints on a wall. You can experiment by laying your prints on the ground and trying out different combinations before you hang them on the wall. To get more ideas, you could search online for "art collage" or "arranging wall art".
HANGING or Standing?
We now reach the part where you hang the pieces on your wall. There are many options. First, you don’t have to hang the print. You can also place it on a shelf, or ledge. For framed pieces that are sufficiently heavy to hold their place, this works well. You can arrange your prints side-by-side on a corridor ledge, or mount multiple ledges on a wall to group them with another decorations, such as candles, plants, and other décor.
To avoid damaging unframed prints, you can hang them on the wall using clips. You can also attach them to the wall using adhesive tack. To stabilize the print, use two clips and possibly some adhesive glue. If you find the clips distracting, use adhesive tack instead.
Unframed prints can also be hung by string or wire. Clips or clothing pegs are used to attach the pieces to it. This post should have given you some great ideas. Enjoy decorating your home with art!
